ARTWORK FOR THE GALLERYWe are asking all members to start bringing in their artwork for display
in the gallery. We are asking members to bring in 4 pieces of art to begin with and then we will ask for more as the
Hanging Committee determines that we have room for more. Members who have jewelry for sale can bring in 10-15 pieces
and members with small 3D artwork (small sculptures and pottery) can bring in 6-8 pieces. Members with large sculpture
pieces that will take up floor space, will need to call first to find out about available space.
The Co-Op will
be open from 9am to Noon on Friday and Saturday for members to bring in their work. Anyone who needs to bring in their
artwork at a different time will need to contact a
Board member to arrange a time.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGThere will be a regularly scheduled General Membership
Meeting on Tuesday, 4 September 2007, at 5:30 PM at the Co-Op Building. We still don't have enough chairs for everyone,
so: 1) anyone who has a folding metal chair they can donate, please spray paint it black and bring it in. 2) members
who don't have a chair to donate, need to bring a chair to sit in.
BOD MEETINGThere will be a Board of Directors meeting at 11:45 AM
on Tuesday, 4 September 2007. All Directors should make plans to be there.

As of now, we have plenty of memory/space available
on our website, therefore we are not restricting the amount of artwork you can put in the E-gallery. Anyone who has
more artwork that they would like to put in our E-Gallery for sale, please email or call Sharon Bass (sharon.bass@mchsi.com or 205-392-7997).

OUR WHITE ELEPHANT SALEThe White Elephant Sale went well!!!

YOU !! to everyone who donated items and especially to everyone who came and helped to set up and also to work the sale!!!
We DID
GOOD!!! The money will go a long way toward the money required to: put in the alarm system, buy fire extinguishers
required by Fire Marshall, purchasing/installation of brace and locks for back door, getting the gallery ready, etc.
so that we can keep our maintenance fees going to what they are supposed to be for = paying rent and utilities.
We
plan to make this at least an annual event (like the Little Theater), so we are boxing and storing the stuff
that will hold over to our next sale and donating the other to Hope Village.
We will be working on this

WE HAVE A BUILDING!!!!
The Rayner Drug Store acquisition fell through. We were informed that the building was for sale
only and they did not even want to lease it.
After
some busy scrambling, the Board of Directors has acquired the following building from Mr James (Jimmy) Covington:
The new Meridian Artists' Co-Op will be at 2500 North Hills
Street, Suite B, Meridian, MS 39305. It is in the Park Place shopping center, behind "Squealers" and
next door to "The Cuttery". Everyone needs to make sure that they pay their maintenance fee
each month so we will have enough to pay expenses each month.
We are calling a general member meeting for tomorrow, Thursday, 9 Aug 2007, at 5:30pm so everyone can
see the building and we can start planning how to set up the building and when we foresee that we can open. We encourage
everyone to make the meeting as we are really excited about the building and the location!
The building is empty so if you want to sit you need to bring it with you.

for new vendors., It has vendor stalls selling ARTS, CRAFTS, ANTIQUES AND COLLECTIBLES, AND SO MUCH MORE... it is only
open on Saturday Mornings from 8 am til 1 pm. This opportunity is open from now until the building sells. If
