has just moved here from California. Diane works in oil, acrylic and airbrushing. We will enjoy having her artwork

CLASS BY GREG CARTMELL AND MIKE FRENCHGreg Cartmell and Mike French are going to have Live models at his studio for portraits
or figure painting Saturday, Feburary 2. Class will be from 10am until 6pm. All mediums are welcome and Greg is going to give a couple of demonstrations,
one in oil and one in watercolor.
COST =
$20 per person, this includes model fees.
Directions: come out
HWY 493 past Little Acres and take the next right on Buntin Gunn Road. Greg's studio is behind the first
house.

NEW CLASSES SCHEDULED!!!As part of the Meridian Artists' Co-Op's
Outreach Programs the following classes/workshops are scheduled: Class #1: Acrylics
Demostration & Workshop Mike French
will be giving an Acrylics Workshop on Saturday, 26 January 2008. The workshop will be from 1pm to 4:30pm.
The class will be limited to 15 students. Students must be 21 years of age or older. The location of the
workshop will be at the Meridian Artists' Co-Op or the Meridian Activity Center, depending on the size of the class. Registration
fee = $25.00. Must be registered by 23 January 2008 to make class.
Students will need to bring
the following materials:
>1 each 11"x14" or 16"x20" canvas, canvas board, or masonite board >Set
of acrylic paints in tubes (red, yellow, blue, white, black)
>Brushes: Flat: #'s 6, 8, 10 (12,if you have one); Round: #'s 4, 6, 8; and Fan: #6
>Pan or ice tray to hold water
>Acrylic gel medium (optional) >Paper
towels or baby wipes
Class #2) Polymer Clay Demonstration and Class Suzanne Boyd will be giving a demonstration and class in polymer clay on Monday, 28 January 2008 from 10am to 12 noon.
Students will receive hands-on instruction by making a polymer figure (choice of Mardi Gras mask/figure, fairy, angel, elf,
Santa) that will be finished by the end of class. All materials for class are provided. The class will be
limited to 15 students. Students must be 21 years of age or older. The location of the workshop will be at
the Meridian Artists' Co-Op or the Meridian Activity Center, depending on the size of the class. Registration
fee = $20. Must be registered by 25 January 2008 to make class.

MORE ART HAPPENINGS AROUND TOWN!!!MCC has a reception on Monday Jan. 14, at 5:30 pm with a Mississippi
artist who studied with William Merritt Chase, Kate Freeman. It is a good show and few people know about this 20th century
artist.
