The Meridian Artists' Co-op is a group of artists and interested citizens who are dedicated to creating a greater community awareness of the arts and culturally related events. We are a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization.
We offer exhibits, openings, lectures, workshops, and demonstrations. Some of the activities in which the Co-Op is involved are: 1. Outreach initiatives for regional schools to include student art exhibitions, workshops and classes, and scholarships 2. Public interactive workshops, lectures and classes Our vision is to enlighten the public to the widest possible range of creative activities and events to the largest audiences possible. Our goal is very simple: to showcase artists, and in the process, highlighting Meridian as a growing and creative cultural community. The members of the Meridian Artists' Co-Op represent a wide range of media and styles from oil, pastel, acrylic and watercolor painters to potters and sculptors, jewelers, weavers, photographers, woodworkers, stained and fused glass artisans and more. . Our artists make a real effort to keep their prices reasonable because all members of the Co-Op feel that art should be available to everyone. We rotate our member’s artwork frequently and are constantly adding new artists to our membership. With a constantly changing membership and the frequent rotations of work, you will always find interesting and fresh artwork at our gallery. The Co-Op is governed by a board of directors that are elected by our members annually to different terms. The current board of Directors is:
