Membership Responsiblities
Membership Responsibilities:
1. Original art
of all types is welcome.
2.
Members are expected to commit to a regular, monthly 7 hour shift for holding open the Gallery. Gallery hours are 10 am to
5 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. This time may be split into 2 half days per month, 10 am to 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 5 pm. You
will be trained in opening and closing of the Co-Op and sales procedure. If you have a preference of days you may schedule
your request with the Secretary, Sharon Bass (205-392-7997/sharon.bass@mchsi.com). For interested artists who live over 75 miles away and would
have difficulty making the one day each month committment, we do offer an Auxiliary membership, see details below under title
"AUXILIARY MEMBERSHIP".
3. A $50 annual membership fee. There is also a $20.00 each month
maintenance fee to help cover operating expenses for the Gallery and this website. Fees can be paid by credit card online,
see bottom of membership application page, payments are made safely and securely through PayPal. You can pay $25
a month rather than the $50/$20@month. Fees for Auxiliary Memberships are different than regular membership
and are stated below.
4. You will also be expected to contribute time and expertise by joining one of
the several committees that help in the running the Co-Op. Active participation is strongly encouraged through membership
meetings, openings, and various organizational committees.
Your artwork will be hung in the Gallery at
the determination of the Hanging Committee; therefore your separate pieces may not be located together.
It is your responsibility to find a replacement if you are unable
to work the Gallery on your scheduled day.
Current
Dues: $50/year Member
There
is also a $20 a month maintenance fee which helps pay for operating costs of the gallery and website.
