Elizabeth attended Meridian High School, Meridian
Community College, University of Southern Mississippi , Mississippi State College for Women and Emory University in Atlanta,
Ga.
She has completed programs in X-ray Technology. Obtained certification for medical coding, ICD and CPT, from
St. Anthony's Medical Coding , Mammography from Emory with an updated certification in Mammography
in New Orleans.
Also, Windows 95 at Ross Collins, Computer training from Salcris of Alabama. Windows 2003, Power
Point and Excell at WIN Center, completed the Experience Work Program in 2006. Most recent class is Quickbooks
2007 at MCC.
She does volunteer work as the assistant coordinator of the Lauderdale County MS web page (American History
and Genealogy Project). Has cataloged Lauderdale County cemeteries for on-line use, and does on-line census
look-ups. She is the treasurer for the East Central MS Kennel Club and assistant treasurer for New Wine Ministries.
Her
art studies were under the direction of Homer Casteel, and more recently Peggy Harmon both of Meridian, MS. After a life time
of working in the art of negatives she is now taking up positives in the form of water colors and oils.
Elizabeth
is one of the founding directors of the Meridian Artists' Co-op and their first vice-president.
