After graduating from MSCW with a BFA, with an emphasis on Interior Design, I began painting with oils. Moving to Kentucky in the 1960's and being accepted into the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen, I exhibited at various shows throughout the state. At that time, my style was called "poetic abstract".
Recently returning to painting after a long absence, I have found that my style has basically changed very little. I continue to get my inspiration from past and present life experiences. It gives me great pleasure for the viewer to express to me what they "see" in a painting as there are often images I have not yet seen.
The support and encouragement of the Meridian Artists' Co-Op has been most beneficial to me since I have resumed my painting.
