People from Meridian may remember Norris Cycle Shop on Front Street--where Ronnie worked with his Dad for many years. Like many teens of his generation he was encouraged when he sent off the "Draw Me" application and was told he had real art talent. His father felt otherwise telling him he couldn't make any money at art.

Ronnie retired in 2006 after forty years with Georgia Pacific and decided to give his talents a chance. He wanted to 'add color to his drawings'. When he heard about the classes at the Meridian Activity Center he signed up for painting with Peggy Harmon and has been studying since. He paints for pleasure and personal satisfaction.
