The mission of the Meridian Artists' Co-op is to promote local artists and to provide much needed exhibit space for part- and full-time artists. We strive to meet this need and bring a wide range of art media by local artisans into the public eye.

The Co-Op was founded with one simple goal in mind - to showcase local artists, and in the process, highlight Meridian as a positive growing creative cultural community. We strive to reach this goal by focusing our attention on the following objectives:

• to seek out visual art talent

• to provide continuing support and encouragement for that art talent through the exposure of their art work 

• to encourage arts education with outreach programs, scholarships programs and workshops, classes and demonstrations

• to develop membership services which directly support the arts community 

• to seek out art patrons who will assist in our objectives.

We promote the work of artists and challenge our members to be at their most creative. We stress the importance of creative, original artwork and hold our members and new applicants to these standards. We encourage our member artists to explore new avenues of expression and to create innovative and exciting works of art.
